Ever–Roll is not a specialty or “job shop” metal fabrication shop. The minimum order size is wholly dependent upon the estimated total units per year, complexity of the part(s) to be created, the material type and how many distinct processes (with corresponding tooling switch overs) are required. Our business model and production overhead are meant for larger quantities and longer-term clients. For prototyping, we actively engage with the client and new part in a formal process whereby we gather information beyond the drawing and specifications to better assess and recommend if Ever–Roll is the best metal fabrication expert for that specific process set. We have no problem in recommending another metal processing company if their expertise and resources are better aligned with the client/parts’ needs.
Ever–Roll is seeking long-term relationships with clients that appreciate suppliers who are curious and are not afraid to make suggestions or provide options to improve the quality and reduce complexity or costs as a way of doing business. As stated on all Ever–Roll quotes:
“Before business is placed with Ever–Roll on new parts, a complete project review is needed with Quality, Production, Engineering, to discuss and verify all requirements. Any added changes to assumptions used to quote or receipt of further information may result in adjustment of quoted prices. Exceptions to print tolerances and determination of tolerances not specified will be negotiated at the meeting.”
Ever–Roll wants to bring to the table anything it thinks might add value to the part, to the client’s margin or the quality and/or serviceability of the part for their client. This first opportunity to make material changes often finds opportunities for future discussions to find deflation for our clients and their customers.
